Happy Father's Day!

I have a fantastic father...
...a wonderful father-in-law...
...and an @mazing husband!
Aren't I the luckiest woman? :D

For Father's Day, we always let the kids pick one item of clothing each to give to daddy. It's great to see what they love and what they get excited about. And then there's the series of pictures I took trying to get the perfect picture of Jason and his presents... Together, Jason and I captioned the photos. Ya'll ready for this?
Do you want a cookie?
Do you really want a cookie?!
Mmm... Yummy cookie.
I love cookie!

Yeah, we think we're pretty funny. :)
Okay, now to explain the presents. Kai picked the basketball jersey because it has a number on it. Seth picked the gray shirt because it feels like the blanky he sleeps with. S "picked" the BYU shirt Jason is wearing. (She doesn't really understand "picking out" things for other people, or picking what to wear that day, etc. But I handed that shirt to her because I liked it, and she seemed happy enough.) And I picked the white shorts. I also gave him the microphone because he's and AWESOME singer and needed a better way to  record himself singing. And Dominion the game is way fun.

All in all, Jason deserves so much more than we could ever give him. He's the best daddy. Jason actually knows his children personally! (Which is rare in this day and age.) He knows what they like to play, what their strengths are, what dreams and nightmares they've had recently, what their favorite colors and foods are, how they interact with one another, etc. He came to know this about his children by spending TIME with them! I love that this is so important to him. Fatherhood is more important than money or travel or a billion other things. He's proven this by turning down jobs that would have paid a whole ton, but they required too much time or travel away from family. How many men would do that? How many men would be in a good enough position to be able to do that? I could go on and on. Jason is a good man down to his core. I'm so very blessed, and so are our children.

We also went to Art City Days in Springville the day before Father's Day. We used to live there, and my aunt and uncle live near there. We call them Grandma Judy and Grandpa Steve because they are just like an extra set of grandparents for our kids. They're some of the best people I know.

This is Seth on Grandpa Steve's motorcycle.
And Grandpa Steve took Seth and Kai for short rides in the side-by-side. The boys were so excited! They just love wheels and Grandpa Steve, so it was perfect!

At the Springville fair, we let the kids play in the splash park for a while.

I rode the Ferris Wheel with Seth and Kai. (S was just a tad too short...) Then Kai and Seth rode a really cute little roller coaster! Look at those faces! They had so much fun!
Then it was daddy's turn to pick a ride for himself. This thing was literally just a huge circle. It was like riding a roller coaster that is just loop after loop after loop. It made my stomach drop just watching it.

Kai and Seth then wanted to ride this ride:
They were tall enough, so we let them. Not sure that was a great idea... Look at Kai's face. :(
And it went on and on. The poor kid didn't cry, but he whimpered a good deal.

So we went for something easy-peasy for the next ride, like a little train!
It was such a great day. We ate scones and had a blast. We even saw some friends from our old ward! It was a great day. Thank goodness for family. We've made some really good memories, and I can't wait to make more.
