The things our kids say...

I've been writing down some funny things the kids have said the last 4 or 5 days. On this gray, dull day, I thought I would post some happy, sunshiny sayings from my boys. In no particular order...
----
While I was running carpool the other day, a boy strapped himself in to his seat all by himself. Usually he needs help. I said, "Good boy!" And Seth said, "I didn't know you could say, 'Good boy' to kids and dogs!"
----
We were all hanging out in the living room together when, out of the blue, Seth says, "I try to concentrate when we do sheet work in my class, but I just get distracted because the girls look so pretty in their clothes!" (His teacher later told me that they do 'seat' work, not 'sheet' work!)
----
Seth put his hands on my neck and they were so cold!
Me: Harry, your hands are freezing!
(Seth looks at me funny.)
Me: Why is your name Harry?
Seth: My name is not Harry! You have to have a lot of hair to be named Harry! ... So I guess daddy is Harry!

----
I was getting things ready for our sleepover a few nights ago, so I threw a pillow onto a blanket that was at the bottom of the stairs. Kai yelled, "Mommy gets 10 stars! Ding ding ding! Oh yeah! (Then while punching the air) Psh! Psh! Psh!" These kind of statement are very indicative of Kai's personality. He says this stuff all the time.
----
Seth: Tricks, tricks, tricks, tricks...
Me: Seth, do you have tricks?
Seth: Sure. Why not?
----
Kai: How do you go to the bathroom?
Me: The bathroom? What?
Seth: Hahaha! Bathroom talk! Hahaha!
----
Twice in the last two weeks I have been pretty frustrated while getting into the van to leave. Both times, Seth starts to say, "I understand, Mommy. I sometimes get frustrated with things like that too! Like one time I..." And he delves into a story. He did this both times. It was pretty funny, and you can't be mad when your son is being so empathetic.
----
And as the pièce de résistance, here are both boys singing Row Your Boat in Spanish (sort of. Their pronunciation of the words is not perfect, but it sure is cute!)
Happy Wednesday!
